Gone are my dreams of maybe one day having dainty legs… Although I’m growing to like them a little bit, I remind myself that the muscle on them is a reminder of the work I’ve put in the past few months.
We did a fun little thing called the 15 minute squat last night in conditioning, let’s just say today my lower half feels like jelly…

Hey! Thanks lovely, had a little looksie at your blog too, followed! So good to see more strong young girls with ambition on here, best of luck with all of your goals! love & light :)

Big week this week!

Yesterday I trained in the early morn, PR’d on most and did (and nailed!) 70kg deadlifts for the first time which I was pretty pumped about! Followed by work, then stretching in the evening.

Today I did more morning stretches, worked at the caf, then went for a group fitness session in the park which is being run by my friend who is training to be a personal trainer. It was her first time training so she did pretty well!

Tomorrow I’ve got circus training in the evening for two hours, and then friday I have training with Jules in the morning.

Four days in a row man! Killin’ it! I’m really working on trying to improve my balance, range of motion in the hips, and hamstring flexibility. I feel like for too long I have focused on my strengths and ignored a couple of my weakness’s, not intentionally - but it really is an integral part of progressing to greater strength in all parts of what I’m doing. And I realized this when doing leg raises and getting frustrated that my legs couldn’t pass hip height without bending - whyyyyyy, I thought! I have incredible back flexibility and enough core strength- why could I not raise them? Hamstrings. Not only have I not been watching my form when stretching them - (hello curved back) but I haven’t been focusing on them nearly as much as my back and hips. Well that’s my new goal - super bendy legs and better range of motion. Doing plenty of stretching every day to try to achieve this - also I’ve been really spot on nutrition wise which is really helping. I feel good! And energetic! Anyway that’s the low down on how I’m doing ;)

I’ve got new big plans, some might say a bit of a long shot for what I’m hoping to achieve by the time I’m 20. But I will get there. To what am I referring to? Stay tuneddd! These next two years are a new me/life in the making. I will elaborate shortly…

“Oh but you need protein” trolololol

yeah. i dont need that shit they call meat.

Can I just… I don’t mean to offend anyone here (you will be, so you may as well scroll past now) but this is the most disgraceful example I have ever seen, and a poor attempt at preaching dietary advice froma vegetarian standpoint. You might want to have your facts straight first. Apart from the fact that beans of this kind are extremely high carb, setting you up for an insulin crash - most  people can’t even digest them without some kind of inflammation occuring in their body. Then there is the fact that your body knows how to handle and use saturated fat better than it knows how to handle potentially inflammatory/high carb foods…but that’s a whole other thing I could write pages on.  Having said that, it is important to buy your meat from local pasture/grass fed animals, to ensure your meat is serving your body with the best organic proteins and fats. IF YOU AREN’T - that’s when the saturated fat is an issue. That is when cholesterol becomes an issue - if that cow has been raised on cheap corn and soy and fillers then of course it’s not good for you or your health.
And that’s just from a nutritional point of view. Ethically, do whatever the hell you want. I know that the meat I buy is premium top quality meat, from happy and healthy animals that has been prepared sustainably and with the animal and consumers best health in mind.  Do what you want, but don’t feel bad if you choose to eat meat, we have been since man existed and we wouldn’t be where we are evolutionary wise if we didn’t so quit preaching. This picture right here is the equivalent to comparing an apple to a loaf of flipping loaf of bread.

Know what your oils provide! I think olive oil gets more credit than it deserves when it comes to cooking (though it is a great “cold-use” oil.)

Ew, the PUFAs in sunflower/cottonseed/corn! Most of the oils that are used in deep fryers, and preserved foods olives/sun dried tomatos etc. Do your research, read yo labels ;)
Go coconut oil!

Almost cried.

Oh jesus, one of the boys at Pride PT made this

Feeling wicked awesome today! Went to circa and aced it, everything except tuck ups from a bench. My trainer said I seemed a lot more solid and confident as a base than I was a couple of weeks ago and I even had the balls to fly a two high stand (with my traumatic falling experience last week I didn’t think I would!) And my back flexibility is so bendy now I’m considering maybe trying my hand at more contortion-y things once I finish this year. I also for the first time, managed to balance on my hands with my legs off the ground on the hand stilts thingy.
My wrists hate me right now, and in the morning I’ve got circuit training with Julien…so for now, ta ta!
Feeling like a super ninja/all motivated and all that jazz ;)
